Walk to the End of the Rainbows
A nice cool rain brings in rainbows to add to the magic of the Camino.

Just a village on a peninsula, yet so much more.

First Sign of Light
Just before sunrise at the cathedral in Burgos. What is a bustling square by day is mellow and glowing in the early morning.

The Power of the Sea
Imagine the roar. Sitting in this space gave closure. Sitting here gave perspective.

A cross site atop a rock hill above Muxia. Seeing the sun rise here was epic.

Finis=end. Terra=Earth. This is the end of the Earth. The second end of the Camino.

The cathedral at Santiago de Compostela. Every step leads here, the first ending of the Camino, just as it led to every other place. What does it mean?

Five miles off the Camino lies a village that's been growing in the mountains for over twenty years. Children have been born and raised there.

On a cloudy day in the mountains, beside a shack barely standing, there was a white pony. We made eye contact.

String of Shells
The symbolic shell can be found all along the Camino. Blue doors are more rare. Together they look great!

Every step mearks progress and progress is felt. Note to self: take care of blisters before they grow together.

Jam With Me
Two hospitalero's (hosts at pilgrim hostels) play music for guests after dinner. Music on the Camino is an enchanting experience.

Guardian of the Cathedral
These little statues kind of freak me out.

Good Morning Tree
There was something about this tree in the field that aroused my curiosity. And here it is, on a website now.
A typical lunch on the Camino. Milk, Activia yogurt and protein powder to drink. As always, a jamon y queso bocadilla: baguette, jamon serrano and cheese. ...and an orange! mmmmmm!
A man moving sheep along the road. It was a moment for me bacause of the book "The Alchemist" and how it was involved with my Camino.
Sing With Me
A woman from China sings with a man from Colorado. They didn't have a good rhythm between them, but it was a wonderful song.
Crosses are placed in various places along the Camino. Many times the displays are simple like this, with sticks and rocks.
A long way to go before going a long way more.
Castle on the Hill
An old ruined castle hides on a hill behind this village.
More Camino Art
Another Graffiti along the Camino.
After a long day of walking the Meseta (high desert plain) it is a relief to reach a village with water, cheap food and a bed. ...And the conversation about religion at dinner: priceless.

It's everywhere and it is all so fitting to the Camino experience. This one depicts the act of carrying all ones possessions, but wishing to be free of them in a state of relaxation.
The sun rises in a mountain forest, providing a tranquil place to have a snack.
